MP3 blogs
Nice round-up of the MP3 blogging debate on Guardian Unlimited.
Once again the music biz is rushing to catch up with the consequences of advances in distribution technology. The Internet makes sharing music with others much easier: that's a fact and it's a good thing. The phonographic industry needs to reconsider its medieval attitude to the ownership of music and propose serious reforms to existing copyright legislation to reflect the new realities. One way or another, the old regime will fade into oblivion. Do the record labels want to have a say in the process or do they want to wait until the waves are washing over their heads?
